Pressing Instructions

Follow these step-by-step guides for perfect results with every transfer type we offer.

DTF (Direct to Film)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your heat press to 300-325°F (150-163°C)
  2. Place your garment on the heat press and pre-press for 3 seconds to remove moisture
  3. Position the transfer face down on the garment
  4. Press firmly at medium pressure for 15 seconds
  5. Peel the film while still hot (hot peel)
  6. Cover with parchment paper and press again for 5 seconds to seal

Pro Tips

  • Ensure even pressure across the entire transfer
  • Do not wash for at least 24 hours after application
  • Wash inside out on cold — tumble dry low

UVDTF (UV Direct to Film)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Clean the surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol
  2. Peel the clear backing layer from the transfer
  3. Position the sticky side down on the hard surface (tumbler, phone case, etc.)
  4. Use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out any bubbles, working from center to edges
  5. Slowly peel the top carrier film at a 45-degree angle
  6. Apply a UV-resistant clear coat for extra durability (optional)

Pro Tips

  • Works on hard surfaces: tumblers, mugs, phone cases, laptops
  • No heat press needed — cold application only
  • Best results on smooth, non-porous surfaces
  • Hand wash recommended for tumblers

Sublimation

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your heat press to 385-400°F (196-204°C)
  2. Place the sublimation paper face down on the polyester garment or sublimation blank
  3. Secure with heat-resistant tape to prevent shifting
  4. Press at firm pressure for 45-60 seconds
  5. Remove the paper while still hot (hot peel)
  6. Allow the item to cool completely before handling

Pro Tips

  • Only works on polyester or poly-coated substrates
  • White or light-colored garments only — sublimation ink is transparent
  • Use butcher paper under and over the garment to prevent bleed-through
  • Colors may appear dull before pressing — they activate with heat
